What Super Stretch is built for
Super Stretch is specified where the silhouette is close to the body and the fabric has to move with it. Elongation runs 40–55%, roughly double the core Stretch construction.
The recovery problem, solved in the yarn
High elongation is easy; keeping it is not. The dual-core weft carries a polyester filament alongside the elastane, which does the recovery work and holds growth under 5% after wash. This is what prevents the knee and seat bagging that ends the life of most skinny denim.
Where it is used
Skinny and super-skinny jeans, jeggings, athleisure-crossover denim and maternity panels.
