What Bi-Stretch is built for
Most denim stretches across the body and not along it. Bi-Stretch carries elastane in both directions — 30–40% elongation in the weft, 15–20% in the warp — so the garment gives when the wearer bends as well as when they sit.
Why both axes matter
Warp stretch is what makes a denim dress, jumpsuit or tailored trouser wearable without a lining or a vent. It is also the harder construction to weave and to finish flat, which is why comparatively few mills offer it.
